The FIA Formula 2 Championship is the official feeder series to Formula One and the last step on the ladder for aspiring drivers seeking to reach the pinnacle of global motorsport. Founded in 2017 as a successor to the GP2 Series, the championship has produced
the vast majority of graduates to F1 in this time.
The Championship races at select rounds on the FIA Formula One World Championship calendar. 2024 will include 14 rounds at iconic circuits across Europe, the Middle East and Oceania. A Sprint Race on Saturday and a Feature Race (which includes a mandatory pitstop) on Sunday at each round equates to a 28-race season.
Formula 2 contains 11 two-car teams, although unlike the F1, F2 cars are all identical in design and manufacture. Scroll down to learn more!
